Youth Group
At Community of Christ, we strive to teach our youth to Make Jesus Known through the following:
- Sunday School
- Participating in worship service
- Volunteering
- Teen Outings
- First Communion
- Catechism
Our children enjoy Sunday School hour held monthly from September to April, where children ages 3 years to 6th grade learn a Bible Lesson and engage in a fun craft or activity. Age appropriate Children’s Bibles are distributed annually to 3 year olds and 3rd graders.
We welcome the presence of our young children during the worship service. We worship as a family and Make Jesus Known as a family. Wiggle bags packed with faith-based learning and crafts are provided to help keep your little one entertained. Should your little one need to burn off some energy, a nursery room is available, supplied with audio of the worship service.
There are a variety of opportunities for teens to serve and grow their faith including Congregation Breakfasts, Lent Soup Suppers, working a bake sale, or packing bags with supplies for various charities. Teen outings of a Christmas Scavenger Hunt, Walleye Hockey Game, or Toledo Mudhens game are a few examples of fun activities to engage in fellowship.
We welcome the involvement of our youth in worship services, including musical abilities! We have many roles available for volunteers.
First Communion orientation offered twice per year to 1st grade and up.
A Catechism Program for 7th and 8th grade students is offered in partnership with area congregations.
